The Oakwood Farmers’ Market has been the inspiration for at least two local artists.
We have to thank Nick Claiden for painting the picture for the front of our 2010 leaflet. You can now download and print a copy of this from the 2010 leaflet page.
Another local artist, Jacky Rough, has her painting “Oakwood Farmers Market” for sale and on exhibition until Wednesday 21st April at the Artsmix Exhibition on the top floor Restaurant of Debenhams on Briggate in Leeds City Centre. Owing to the adverse weather and concern for the safety of stallholders and customers, and because some stallholders are not able to attend because the snow and ice prevents them from harvesting, the organisers of the Oakwood Framers’ Market+ regret that the January market, which was due to be held on Saturday 16 January 2010, has been cancelled.
We do apologise for the disappointment.
